About:
At Tuesday, 1:30 in the morning, Mayor Bloomberg evicted the Occupy Wall Street protesters from Zuccotti Park.1 And Tuesday afternoon, a judge sided with the city—and the 1%—ruling that protesters "have not demonstrated that they have a First Amendment right to remain in Zuccotti Park."2
But as the #OWS protesters have said: "You cannot evict an idea whose time has come. We are the 99%. We are everywhere."
On Wednesday, we all have the chance to prove that, by turning out in huge numbers for the "We Are The 99%" day of action on Wall Street and in over 300 cities nationwide.
Our movement to take on rampant inequality is just getting started—and we won't be silenced. Can you stand with tens of thousands nationwide by attending a "We Are The 99%" event in San Francisco on Wednesday?
I can't make this event, but keep me up-to-date on the campaign.

Call for November Actions to ReFund Public Education
This week, California state budget analysts will propose $2.5 billion in new “trigger cuts” to public education. UC’s president has proposed more job cuts and up to 81% in tuition hikes to cover the shortfall. This comes in the wake of $17 billion in cuts to education since 2009 that have contributed to: 1) The layoffs of thousands of teachers and workers and cuts to educational and student services. 2) A 300 % increase in tuition at public universities in the last 10 years. And 3) Soaring debt for students and their parents.
We demand:
1) A reverse of the fee increases, the layoffs and the cuts to essential services and classroom education, and
2) Publicly and actively supporting raising income taxes on California’s wealthiest and a financial transaction tax on Wall Street to save and expand public education.
