Redwood City is going to be sizzling during its 4th Annual Salsa Festival. Three stages, featuring Latin Rock, Salsa, and Latin Jazz music, plus a DJ Salsa stage, will fire up Redwood City with music and dancing (including free Salsa lessons) all day long.

Amateur and professional Salsa Chefs will compete for fun, prizes and Salsa Glory, at the mouth watering and exciting Salsa Tasting and Competition, where the public takes part in the judging.

Public tasting is from 12pm-5pm (but, come early, as popular contestants may run out sooner).Along with tasty salsa, local restaurants will also offer their delicious fares throughout the day. The festival features public Tequila Tasting, free hands-on art projects, and a Children’s Play Area, complete with bounce houses, carnival rides, and more. Art on the Square will also be showcased, where artisans exhibiting their inspirational work will transform the streets surrounding Courthouse Square into an outdoor gallery. Redwood City’s Salsa Festival guarantees a fun-filled day of tongue-tingling salsa, great activities, music, entertainment, dancing, food, beverages, and a wonderful time for the entire family! Fun activities for the entire family: Salsa Dance instruction with Community Street Jam, hands-on art projects – Art Stations with FREE projects, Tequila Tasting, Microbrew Tasting, Family Area with Carnival Rides Culture abounds in Downtown: City and Community booths, local restaurants offering their delicious fares and Art on the Square – artisans exhibiting their crafts throughout the day

Courthouse Square Salsa Stage: 12pm – La Fuerza Gigante; 2pm – Pacific Mambo Orchestra; 4pm – Eduardo & Candela; 6pm – Orquesta Saboriche.

Latin Rock Stage: 1pm – Third Sol; 3pm – En Vivo; 5pm – Richard Bean & Sapo.

Latin Jazz Stage: 12pm – Wayne Wallace Latin Jazz Quintet; 2pm – Ray Obiedo & Mistura Fina.

Time: 12pm-8pm and admission is free.
